Thurness is a small established breeding  and showing kennel of English Cocker Spaniels. Home is in Luthermuir in

Aberdeenshire in the beautiful Mearns countryside. I began breeding Cockers over 20 years ago and have had some

lovely wins at Championship show level including one of the elusive Challenge Certificates that all breeders dream of.

These days I do not show quite as much, due to the time and expenses involved, but  I still enjoy going

and meeting up with doggy friends old and new. My dogs are not just show dogs but a valued part of the family

and puppies are spoilt rotten as I believe that socialising them at an early age is very important. Many of my

grooming customers enjoy saying hello to the latest litter when the puppies are old enough. My daughter is a

great help in many ways and is doing well at the shows doing junior handling classes at all levels.

I am a committee member of the East of Scotland Cocker Spaniel club as well as being a

member of other breed clubs and do occasionally when invited, judge at shows as well.

Puppies  are occasionally available to loving homes and all enquiries are welcome. All stud dogs used have

been DNA tested and are picked not only for their good looks but for their temperament as well. Occasionally

I may also have an adult available for retirement to a loving home by the fireside to suitable homes.
